My studio is designed to offer a respite
from the challenges and tumult of today.
I invite you to contact me at sid@sidnorris.com.
It would be a pleasure to discuss our
shared love of this marvelous instrument, the piano.
SID NORRIS began his study of the piano at age seven in his hometown, New Orleans.
By sixteen, SID had won the New Orleans Philharmonic Youth Auditions, the New Orleans Summer Pops Auditions, and the New Orleans Recreational Department Concerto Competition.
He debuted with the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra playing Prokofieff's Third Piano Concerto and reappeared with the orchestra the following year in the Grieg A Minor Concerto.
Other orchestral performances include a Beethoven "Emperor" with the Houston Symphony, and a highly acclaimed performance of the Rachmaninoff "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" with the Music Academy of the West Symphony Orchestra in Santa Barbara.
SID holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree from Tulane.
His musical influences have been Sylvia Zaremba, John Perry, Dorothy Taubman, and Edwin E. Gordon.
